It's probably pretty obvious that I love Daria fan art, but I'm a fan of a lot of other animated shows as well, and love playing around with the characters. I also do a lot of original works and photography. I primarily draw by hand and color digitally or work in ink and colored pencils, but I'm starting to dabbling in watercolors now too. Hey, what up? It's been a while since I've written a journal entry, but I wanted to let everyone know about the really amazing artwork for sale for charity. I took part in the #TwitterArtExhibit this year. For those who don't know, it's a yearly event where artists create a postcard-sized original piece of art, mail it in, and all the art is exhibited together and is available for purchase. This year's was in Stratford upon Avon. The in-person exhibit just ended, but the online sales are still ongoing. My work, "Hidden Zebra" which I just recently posted here is still available for purchase, as are a lot of other amazing works. I bought two myself that I am super excited about and can't wait to hang on my wall! The art is all reasonably priced, so please consider checking it out and helping out the amazing cause (which this year is Molly Ollys Wishes, a program that helps children with serious and terminal illnesses and their familes....a cause near and dear to my heart).

Ten Faces of Tribute: Mack as George Michael
A little background on this one... I did a series of Daria alter egos many years ago of 10 Daria characters each with a different Madonna look, called the Ten Faces of Madonna series. Later, I followed that up with Ten Faces of Lady Gaga. Well, I've gone and done it again!
This time I wanted to do something a little different, so rather than doing 10 different alter egos of the same musician, I've been working on drawings of Daria characters portraying musicians that left us too soon. I'm calling it "Ten Faces of Tribute." I've chosen the ten artists based on who I have personally enjoyed over the years or have been inspired by (please note that I am in no way condoning anything they may have done in their lives...it's purely a tribute to their music).
This is the ninth one in the series, Michael "Mack" Mackenzie as George Michael. This recreates his iconic look from the music video for "Faith."
