Commission for :iconjulianr94:
Two of his characters, Specter and Alba, from his story 'The Eighth Hunter.'

Hope I did it justice :')
Really enjoyed painting this scene!

You couldn't have made in any better in almost every aspect.
And what really surprises and gives me shivers again and again are your backgrounds. The level of detail, beauty but also darkness, in this case, you manage to put into them is simply magnificent. Not to mention how great the characters look.

So, all in all, I just want to say that I wouldn't have commissioned anyone else but you for such a scene, and yes, you obviously delivered and did it justice!
Certainly looking forward to your next works, commissions and requests. Other than that, my head is filled with more joyful scenes, so we'll be in touch! :)

Ah, I am so glad the background and effects worked out! I had a really wonderful time working on this, and it was definitely a learning experience :D

I am very happy to know that I did it justice :) The scene is quite moving, and I'm eager to catch up to that point in reading the story.

Thus I am also happy to provide enjoyable content. :)

Two more things I would like to add on the image itself:
At first look, the thing that caught my eye probably the most when it comes to the characters was the design of their snouts. You've given them a very beak-like structure in this angle, and I must say, I really like it. I've grown to dislike the "pop-culture" dinosaur looks, at least if they're made without any heart.
And secondly, their sizes. I really thank you for taking the time for measurements. I will leave you some time for other stuff now, but I have an idea for another commission where the differences in size is probably a great thing again. Also, the scene would probably be much more enjoyable. :)

I have already comment in the GOF, but I just wanted to reiterate that this is a wonderful drawing! :) (Smile) You have really captured the emotions of the moment without sacrificing the characters' raptor-ness for the sake of giving them more human-like demeanor.  Very nice work!

Thank you! It was a challenge that I really enjoyed taking on. I try not to cheat with human features too much ;P
