Back again with watercolours, yeah! I've actually been doing a lot of watercolour work lately, which is surprising because I remember way back when I was terrified of watercolours. Really starting to embrace it and actually enjoy the whole process now, which I find personally really rewarding just to be able to acknowledge the fact that I've come this far! Its sooo funnnn~ Really had fun doing this one, never really drawn wolves before so it's all good fun trying new animals.

Hope you like it!

Wow, amazing to me how you get such fine detail with watercolors. I'm terrible with them! Even though I love them... maybe one day ;)

Wow. Tears of joy. Your work is amazing. I love the hair and lips. The lips look so real and so kissable!

This is really amazing! I wonder how you make the white lines and dots. Do you use white ink?
kelogsloops's avatar

Wow what a fantastic watercolor painting!
It cought my attention immediately since it reminds me of one of my favourite books, "Promise of the Wolves" by Dorothy Hearst :D
I love her hair, it flows like water and merges beautifully with the wolves' fur. The few red parts work very well with the other colors and make great highlights. It's a wonderful composition!
These thin lines along with strong contrasts, I see them in almost every painting of yours, they are just like a trade mark^^

Thankyou Jean!
Oooh, not too familiar with the book, but glad to hear that you like the aspects of the piece so much. It really is one of my favourite and proudest pieces! :iconasdfghplz:
