This piece was inspired by the song above. It's a song about appreciating the time you have now, and the loved ones that surround you. When I heard the song, I fell in love with it and the video, because to me, it was about living life and appreciating it at your own pace, because the world moves on, and it doesn't wait for anybody. You can sit still in your own sense of time and stay frozen, but the world will brush past you; it doesn't owe you any favours. It's kinda weird and a little scary to think that obviously, because it's about death, but it's so strangely poetic and beautiful at the same time.
If you haven't seen the video, you have to. Because it really does show that all in the most simple way -- her enjoying herself.

Overall Vision
Originality Technique ImpactLet's see, well I was in the mood for writing a critique, I hope you don't mind mate ^^
This is a lovely piece you've done here, I do have a few small things that could be improved in my opinion. I've noticed those splatters in the background of the girl and I think that they are coming on too strong, i would reduce the opacity of it so it becomes a bit less 'notice-able'.
Otherwise i love what you have done to her body, her face and well her entire vision, it looks stunning! Along with those colours you've used, very well done ^^
If it's possible, perhaps add in a bit more details to the necklace (seeing as that is a big part of her and the painting) make it 'pop-out' more and the entire painting will change <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w…" width="15" height="15" alt="
