From Six Feet Under

This piece was done for an exhibition themed 'Gaia Reborn.' The inspiration for this painting was the cycles of life and death. Although it might sound quite dark and sombre, the concept was about how despite Death inevitably finding its way to all living things, life continues on — things grow anew, and eventually die again. So even once we are gone, life continues to bloom, even from six feet under the ground. I think there’s a sort of beauty in that, no matter how dark it sounds
