. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
The final piece of my small watercolour series, "Freedom". I painted this not too long ago, but it's apart of my journey to create watercolour paintings and digital paintings more regularly side by side!

Here are the others of the series:

Freedom: Bluebird by kelogsloops  Freedom: Phoenix by kelogsloops

This series was definitely the start of my sudden urge to paint with watercolours and shows my signs of my obsession with hair. A brief explanation: The reason I tend to draw hair and use 'abstract' or 'visual' elements stemming from the hair, is because to me, the hair 'symbolizes' the mind, consciousness and thoughts. So for this series, the idea of birds 'flying free' from the hair, is symbolic for the freedom of the mind. The idea's quite recurrent throughout a majority of my work, but this is just a brief synopsis of this set in particular!

Hope you like them :D

Amazing style. At first glance, I thought it was a Cabbage Girl when I saw in partial view because of the hair color and they look like layers of cabbage leaves. ^^;

Major props on getting those colours to work so well together!
These are honestly so beautiful.
Have you thought about selling prints? I'd love some post card sized prints of these!

Thank you! It definitely was scary and intimidating, working with yellow and green!

Actually yes! I've always wanted to sell prints and have finally gotten in contact with a printer who produces amazing quality prints! If you were interested, I could follow them up with you!

Yes! I'd love to know when you have prints for sale if you don't mind. It depends on price but if I can't get one straight away then I'll definitely be grabbing one the minute I can afford to!

I just got these ones in fresh off te printer the other day! They're bound to arrive soemtime this week, if you were still interested! The whole Freedom series, was it, or just the one?

But in all seriousness, the fact that you express an interest in remotely owning one of my works is actually so overwhelming. You're actually killing me inside I'm so happy and flattered and so squeamish all at once!!! -cries-

Unfortunately I won't be able to grab one asap, Christmas has cleaned me out already D: But I'll most likely be able to afford it in the New Year.
I'd love to get the whole series. Do you know how much you're selling them for yet?

Aww, haha, I feel slightly guilty about killing you inside now xD You've very quickly become one of my favourite artists on here in all honesty. I've received postcard sized prints from a couple of my friends and I've decided to try and collect as many from as many different artists as possible. I'd love to have a whole wall of them hung up someday :la: and I'd really love to add your art to the collection (:

Hahah that's okay! I'll reserve one for you! I don't really want to mass-produce my work, because it kind of diminishes the value of an artist's work. Not like I'm selling out liek crazy or anything, just want to do so for you! :D

Well I'm not too sure how I'm going to price the whole series, but I was thinking around the 70$ margin approximately for the set of 3? The printer I'm working with right now is pretty pricey, but they produce on archival textured paper which is awesome quality. But I'll see if I can get in contact with maybe a cheaper printer soon to see if I can drop the price even lower! I'll let you know how it goes if anything changes or once I've finalised prints!

Thank you so much!! I'm so blessed to have someone like you like my work!!! And even talking to me haha. Deadset appreciate it so much!

I really like this! There's this great feeling of movement and a sense of breaking free from something that I'm getting from the birds flying away! :D I love your concepts and how you bring them together and alive in your pieces!

HOOORAY!!! The fact that you feel that movement and that sense, makes me so damn happy becaues it's exactly what I wanted to capture and express! Rather, the whole idea of the pieces :D
