Yellow-Billed Pintail by KeldBach Yellow-Billed Pintail by KeldBach
Found a nice little pond a few kilometers outside town with a broad variety of water birds. Among them this Yellow-Billed Pintail (Anas georgica spinicauda), which is native to South America. I don't know if it's a male or female, since they look pretty much the same to me.

This shot is stunning. Love the ripples in the water and the colors. The lighting on the duck is wonderful.

I guess the bird was trying to get away. I really love the sharpness and depth of field here.

Yes, I probably frightened it a bit, since the birds there aren't used to seeing people around very often. There are about 8-10 different ducks and water birds at this pond, so they will have to get used to seeing me quite often with my camera ;)
