White Lady by KeldBach White Lady by KeldBach
She's definitely the Queen of the Lagoon, but the only potential partner around hasn't shown much interest in her as of yet. Anyway, there's still plenty of time for a romance during the summer. Here's some head shots of the male:

I really love the light, the water drops on its neck, the beautiful eyes and the contrast of its beak... did you duck down when you take the photo? and the blue background is pure from the water reflection? wow...

Glad you like it. Yes, I was sitting right in front of her, throwing some breadcrumbs in the water to attract her attention. And yes, the blue background is the sky reflecting in the water. Thanks for favouring it :)

Yes, it was taken in the afternoon, but the light changes very much here throughout the year. I the summertime, for instance, the sun sets about 10 pm. in the evening, but in the wintertime it already gets dark about 4 pm. in the afternoon. That makes a big difference when you want to take pictures, so I much prefer the summertime :)

Thanks a lot. Yeah, I'm quite happy with that lens. Would love to have a 600mm too, but that's out of reach for the time being ;)
