Simple Effect by KeldBach Simple Effect by KeldBach
My entry for the Simple Contest.

I have chosen to illustrate the contest theme by using a simple technique to achieve something that may look a little complicated to some. No manipulation is involved; just repeat the following steps: Take a shot of your computer screen. Load the shot into your computer. Take a new shot of the screen. Load it into your computer, etc. I did that eight times, but it seems to be sufficient with about 5-6 shots to achieve the desired effect.

Give it a try :)

The same effect have photography TV with cam connected to TV, image goes to camera - tv -camera - tv - camera and it cause neverending story.

I saw also hotel in Vienna with mirrors on the both walls left and right, and I dont know how, but they do the same...probably special mirrors

Thanks, Jen. Why is it boggling your mind? You don't get the technique?

Nah, you just try. Take one shot of your monitor and open it on your computer.

I keep meaning to take another photo of my workstation that I use for my dA ID (thanks to your dA ID) and desktop wallpaper so I can duplicate this effect when I walk past it. My photo still shows the previous wallpaper, which isn't too shabby in itself; it's one of Hieronymus Bosch's pieces, but it does sort of ruin the effect. ;)

Good luck with the contest. Besides being a clever idea for the theme, the complementary color scheme and lighting are wonderful. :)

You're most welcome to 'steal' the idea, Susan :)

Glad you like my piece, but I'm up against some very nice entries, so a lot of "good luck" is needed to stand a chance. Anyway, I think it's great fun to participate and would like to try some more conceptual stuff along the way. It's very different from shooting flowers and insects.
