Beautiful shot. I usually get depressed at zoos. Bears especially need many miles of open space. I agree with your idea of only locking up the ones that need our protection.

I suppose so, but I think only endangered animals should be kept in a zoo for protection. And the Brown Bear is quite plentiful in Europe and doesn't need any protection :)

That's a good idea since they're being killed off in the wild.We have a lot of grizzlys in the up north of Michigan.When I went to get pictures one time,I heard a noise.I thought it was going to be a bear but it turned out that it was a cute harmless chipmunk who just want to cross the National park's foot trail.
