I think I prefer this tighter crop. What do you think? Here's the full-frame version:

I love how the meadow/forest part in the other one looks, but I feel like this one has better composition. My eye is drawn to the largest tree more.

I think I prefer this one, too. It is lighter, because some of the darker parts of the forest are gone. But both are wonderful autumn representations.

My pleasure.

I feel autumn came late, but now it feels as if it is almost over, and I haven't gone out much. I spent one day in Harz National Park, but that was too early to see the peak colors. The weather is fairly good and not cold so far. I am far behind with my editing.

it's a tough call on which one... the eye travels them both very differently. this one takes to the water, the other to the woods. I'm curious what it would look like if you took from the top instead of bottom.

Thanks, Dennis. I don't think I would crop it much differently, but perhaps I should have included some more of the water. Anyway, there's still time to take a few more shots, so I'll have this in mind :)

Thanks again, Dennis. Glad I made it in time. Last night strong winds ripped off most of the leaves and right now it's actually snowing outside :(

this is our first hint of fall... I'm unsure if we will get color or not. sometimes it just changes so fast.
