Description
Auxaton, you marvelous elf, you.
He's a new character sprung from the deep recesses of my imagination, and he's got an interesting story (at least to me, so I shall share it with you):
Auxaton is a Holy Man of his people, small in population though they may be. His tattoos on his arms and chest, and his dark blue loin cloth (dark blue representing the deep darkness of Spirit World), are indicators of that status. He has devoted his life to Ahyahweh, the goddess of his people and the land on which they reside. Of course, he's not serious all the time, but like many other Holy Men, he is trained in the art of combat to protect his temple and all other citizens.
Unfortunately, his land was attacked by slave raiding humans, and he and many others were kidnapped. Once he found out he was to be sold as a Breeder Slave (which goes against his vow of celibacy and chastity), he and his comrades escaped before they could be branded and marked for sale. Once he returned home, though, his home had been destroyed completely by the raiders. So now, as his calling from Ahyahweh commanded him to do, he is roaming the country to find his other kinsmen and unite them into one nation again. He also hopes to someday gather his people and allies together and rise up against the slave raiders, stopping their conquests once and for all.
Along the way he meets talking Rockmen, human thieves, talking cats, and not-so-friendly gods.
I haven't even started writing his story yet, but it sounds so fun! And it's a lot more serious than most of my other works (I was born to do comedy), and a bit more epic in scope...But I'm excited!
As my friend said when she saw him, "God gets all the good ones."
Auxaton is my character. If you would like to draw him, though, that would be awesome. Just give credit for creation where credit is due (and show me your art!).
This was drawn with Copic markers and Pigma microns on Bristol paper.
