Walking with the dog by keksimtee Walking with the dog by keksimtee
This is my entry for the Merrell Diorama Contest.

The most exciting in fall, are the changing colours of the nature. When it rains the colors are shining brighter and the wind is blowing the leaves off the trees. Walking with the dog through the wood is beautiful in autumn. You can smell the fresh air and catch falling leaves, while the dog is jumping in to the foliage, searching for mouses or something.

This diorama takes me a while. Everything is made by myself, even the box ;)

Thanks so much for your nice comments. I don't think I have that much comments on an other work of mine.

Well this is really cool and deserves the attention :) At first glance it looks like a flat watercolor painting, but then you take a closer look and see all the cut out pieces :wow: Great job :)

so much detail and autumn color is in this work! I especially loved the way you drew the path so it loos endless! :) and a jumping dog to the leaves looks really alive as well :)

The forest looks like this in reality. I remembered the daily round I used to go with my dog and this inspired my design on it. The colors were really the most important for me cause that is what is most faszinating in fall. I'am really happy that it turned out so good and that everyone likes it. :)

I like it a lot! The trees and the colors are amazing, and that the happiness really shows in the way the dog is jumping. German shepherd?

This is so beautiful !!! I can imagine it took you forever. What kind of colours did you use? Watercolour, acryllics, pencils, or..? :) :)

Yes almost everything is watercolor, used also a black pen for the outlines of the girl and the dog and the little animals are polymer clay and acrylic paint.

Holy God. Mines looks JUST like yours. The whole thing with the walkway and the background and all. Looks like we both did some analysis on the detailing of the trees as well lol. But I like how your theme is very concentrated on autumn colors. Nice work.

Yeah I've been trying to get it done as fast as I could but seems like everytime I get the chance to work on it, some college work shows up so I have to delay working on it. I'll try to amend it to make it different in some ways from yours though. But overall I really adore this piece.

Yes knew that, every time i wanted to work on it, the dog has to go for a walk, or i had to do some household labor, so finally i worked at the evening till i got to bed. Please do not look on my piece, just do your diorama like you imagened it and don't try to hard to make it different ;)
