Trixie came to, wresting herself from her nonconsensual slumber, only to wish she hadn’t, and remained in deep, peaceful oblivion. At least she wouldn’t be back where she started. Trixie was furious. A little bit scared, but mostly furious. Her solo travelling magic show had, so far, been a tremendous success, as could have been expected from the likes of her. At least, it had been. Everything was going perfectly until she began passing through dragon territory. No, not the usual fire and lava dragons either. Trixie had a fairly good handle on those by now. These were water dragons. Less boisterous, more haughty, and certainly less impressed by practical magic. Seen it all before, they said. Trixie knew her magic show was a thousand times, no, a million times better than their silly, splashy little aquatic shows, and she was determined to win over the crowds. Passing through the countryside proved… troublesome. Sure, her wagon knocked over a few old, crumbly looking statues, so what? And just maybe her very first show for these people resulted in a stray firework almost hitting a bunch of weirdos all dressed up in robes. Big deal. They were totally in the way!
