Wow, I can't even on this one.
Fantastically beautiful work. The little animals around the graceful woman seems so wonderful. I love the shining sunflower. Such a light is the best light on the earth. The colorful stars makes the whole picture perfect! You're a super artist!
Thank you! I got the idea from a big sunflower that grew in my back yard...and also, I suspect, from The Little Prince, which I read a long time ago. I like sunflowers!
You're always welcome. Yes, it reminds me only on the little prince, after you mentioned it. I love sunflowers tooo!!
Sunflowers seem to have a lot of personality....all in my imagination of course...they seem to be old, wise and quite friendly.
A beautiful fantasy!!How wonderful the glowing sunflower is shining it's light on such an eye catching ,impressive little scene!!!
Thank you: this was inspired by several different things: and old battered sunflower, the book "The Little Prince" and a young lady who seemed to live in a constant state of mourning despite the everyday wonders around her. I am sure other sources could be found too
Stunning. Absolutely stunning. It says so very much. It expresses the core of me and what is important to me - how I feel with all of nature as a part of the universe. Thank you.
I don't know why I love this picture, but for some odd reason it makes me want to grab a blanket and curl up to block out the rest of the world in a way. I just love that feeling of being able to escape the weight of reality beneath my trusty blanket to steal time from a cold relentless reality.
Thank you! I think the picture was about blocking out reality...or about creating a little island of your own personal reality while adrift in this larger, unforgiving reality.
I love the way the cat is looking at me....
Thank you! I was trying to capture Gomer's expression of panicked bewilderment....didn't quite get it.
Thank you! I need to clean up the file, but once that is done I will enable the prints.
I love the sunflower as a lamp. Very cute image.
Thank you...I still can't recall how I came up with what is now a pretty obvious idea. I wonder if anyone has actually designed kids' lamps that look like sunflowers.
If I had the resources I would work with a lamp maker and create floor lamps that looked like sunflowers. It does seem like a logical lamp design. I know I'd buy one.
The giant leaves would make good shelves. I looked on Amazon to see if anyone else was making them....nope. I'll put the project on my back burner.
This one is charming! I adore it.
Last time I showed it, someone correctly pointed out that it looked like it was inspired by The Little Prince. I loved that book!
