HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!! FINALLY! GAHHHH! My internet's getting CRAPPY and I was having a hard time uploading this digital painting that I did, but now it's HERE! YAHOO.
Viola. I have always wondered how Ariel would look like in 3D.. so I experimented and painted her version in CG instead.. but to make it look close to 3D I focused a LOT on the DETAILS.. shinnanigans.. textures.. lalala.. and of course, a really REALLY HUGE CANVAS.. tadada.. well not that huge it's like 11x17 in. with 300 dpi resolution.
So it's not that bad. I just really love working with a really big canvas so I can focus on the details (ex. freckles on ariel's nose which you probably cannot see unless you zoom in)
So in addition.. here is the photo that inspired me to do this digital painting. [link]
I also used Rapunzel as a reference for the shading of ariel's face..
Just cause they look a like
I'm still thinking about adding the bird and that crab what's his name again hahaha yeah I'm just a little frustrated on where to put it. Also, there are like A LOT OF LAYERS already with this painting alone and it's making my laptop and photoshop really slow.
I would also like to thank these people for their awesome Photoshop brushes:
for the sparkle brushes [link]
for the cloud brushes [link]
Hmmm what else.. I guess that's about it for now. I'm still thinking if I'm going to upgrade this painting or not. I'm just too stoked to share it with you guys that's why I uploaded it already. Hihi.
