Eternal Tree - with flowers by keiiii Eternal Tree - with flowers by keiiii
Sorry for spamming your inbox with this tree again. XD; This time, though, the differences are immediately noticeable, and I felt it merited a separate deviation. In addition to the flowers and their reflections, the difference in ambiance/ lighting has a significant impact on the overall composition and mood.

Some people might prefer the flowerless version, while others might like this one better. Compare with the original version: [link]

The original version was painted almost entirely in Corel Painter IX; the new additions and changes in this version were painted completely in Adobe Photoshop 7.0.

Lovely scene, from the little colors all over to the roots waving through the water.

This is sooo beautiful! I love it!!!!! I was wondering if you would be okay with it if I (POSSIBLY) used this as a book cover (for an e-book) for the book shown at this page: www.wattpad.com/story/7270506-… . It is such a beautiful image, and it would look wonderful as the cover to the e-book. Again, I may not use it even if I do have your permission, due t other possible arrangements. However, I would love it if I had your permission in case there is a change with the other possibilities.

Thank you!

I have a similar love for old trees. There aren't enough left in the world, but I am in constant awe of the ones I come across. Beautiful work - both versions! Though this one seems to have a bit more visual depth.

When I first saw this piece, before I took a better look, some reason I thought the lady was a unicorn..__.'

But I like the flowers. It makes the chaing season more obvious. I think it could use some more snow, though. D:

It's a very lovely piece. Very dream-like and soft. As fro my own interpretation, it looks like there's some sort of magical being resting beneath this timeless tree. The picture feels mythological to me. There's spring on one side and winter on the other so it almost seems like the tree controls life and death.

Truly amazing.
Jaw dropping. The colour is stunning, and the lighting is beautiful.
The woman hanging over the tree is sad, and makes my eyes look at her.
Also, having the folliage, an flowers bloomming is gorgeous.
I believe that I prefer this one better,
just because of this one almsot seems more intense.
They are both amazing, and really, I like them equally,
because they both seems to tell differnt stories,
or different times. It's almost lthe woman is alive in the first one,
and as time passes, so does she. :P
I am probably wayy off, but that's how I see it.
The reflection in the water of all the blossoms look so realistic,
and the brush is very nice and soft.

I like this one better than the other one. In the older one there was "one colour-accent" (being the red coloured leaves of fall), here you have the flowers as well. It makes the viewer's attention go to all corners. :3

The spread of the attention (i.e. lack of focus) is actually the one thing I don't like about this version... XD But I'm glad you like the picture regardless of the reason.

Hm... well, this is how I see it: due to the spread of attention, one might start looking more at the seperate parts and see more details. =/
But the other one is more serene, tranquil... magical perhaps.

It's true that not all pictures need a single, overpowering focal point. But if there is no single focus, there should be a flow, a path, etc... Composition. Something that binds the picture together and makes it look good even from far away, when you can't see the details. The way I see it, anyone can spam tons of details (as long as they have the time), but focus and composition take... more skill? They're trickier.

You have a very good point there.
Guess I wasn't thinking that far ahead.

If someone manages to combine all of the things you mentioned there, the work is sure to attract at least some attention.
It makes the difference between something awesome and flat and something awesome and .. eh, round's not the word I'm looking for, .. with depth?

Happy Newyear!
