I've seen the pictures of Nexflix's reboot of She-Ra and like most people... I thought she looked more like a dude in drag rather than a symbol of Beauty, Strength and Female Empowerment. Suddenly here come the insults and let me tell you, I thought people couldn't get any dumber. I understand that they want to show girls what they could be, so why not give them a character they should aim for, most cartoon and comic characters bodies aren't unrealistic you're just lazy. My She-Ra is still a young girl like in the reboot but she still strong and still feminine.
1. Have you seen a real woman before? They come in all shapes and sizes!
Uh... yes I have! I have this thing called a job, where I have to help, serve, answer, guide and deal with HUNDREDS of people a day and females all look like females regardless. But more and more women are led to believe that the only way to prove their as good if not better than a man is to lose their femininity. Which in my opinion is stupid and counter productive, yet they say that's progressive. T_T
2. It's not made for you it's for the Kids, why are you complaining?
I'm complaining because as an adult I have to be weary of what children watch and I make a better critic then a 5 year old who only looks at the action scenes. The worst part is when I tell them Walt Disney's old saying "You're dead if you aim only for kids. Adults are only kids grown up, anyway!" they say that animation is evolving get with the times. THIS IS WHY WESTERN ANIMATION IS DYING PEOPLE!
3. You're just saying that because you can't see her boobs and can't jack off to her you Pedophile ManBabies!
When people complain about She-Ra, how many actually mention breasts or sexiness? NONE! T&A does not equal Feminine and Feminine does not equal Sexual. I just want a symbol of Beauty, Strength and Female Empowerment to look like a female and not a schoolboy in drag with hair attachments. I've seen plenty of females with flat chest that still look feminine, get your head out of your ass! Also the majority of people that are complaining about She-Ra's design... are women!
Listen when half of the internet argue over a character design, that means the artist in a way has failed. Maybe the She-Ra show will be good maybe, but with everything having to be political and about feelings rather than logic, I'm not holding my breath. I should have been a writer and a character designer a long time ago.
