I started drawing before I could speak, being an artist was just something I was, being one now is not much of a choice for me. I am self taught in drawing and painting and discovered a love for sculpting while attending college. Every job or career I've had since has been based in some form of art, design, painting, drawing, or sculpting, usually behind the scenes. I have sculpted professionally for the last 13 years and just started to produce my own work for others to see.
I decided to create a style of work that blurred the lines between photography, painting and sculpting. I chose mosaics because of the tension I could create between the sculpted and cast pixels and the overall image they created. The hope was to create a conversation for the viewer , a conversation about the relationship, good or bad, subject verses theme, and so on. I want people to talk about what these pieces mean to them, how their own experiences make sense of the choices I made when creating the work.

Hello:iconcocowaveplz:

I'm Elsa, the founder of TheFavouriteShowcase.
I'm here to invite you to take a little time to visit the group, since you are a member and I haven't seen you around much - I'd like to see more of you!

ALL INFO ABOUT THE THEMATIC FOLDER HERE
https://thefavouriteshowcase.deviantart.com/gallery/29360832

Hello dear members of TheFavouriteShowcase, friends and deviants,
This is the new way to find our winner of our monthly challenge at TheFavouriteShowcase: instead of using a Poll with the ten most voted of the period, we'll be using a blog to showcase the 20 MOST VOTED on this theme!
This means, or so I hope, more exposure for your pieces and galleries.
The idea is simple: each work has a number and all deviants have the opportunity to vote like if it was a poll...with the difference that you will choose not one but 3 favourites!
All deviants may vote, INCLUSIVE who is participating; the participants may vote for themselves and ask friends and watcher

to find the favourite works to our challenge WILD ANIMALs.
Would you please help the voting?
By :+fav:ing the blog you will also enter a draw to win 10 :points:.

Our theme for December is SANTAandGIFTs. The folder will be open on the 1st December and it would be great to have your participation Nod

Thank you for being a member Thanks for everything!
