Drawing Architecture has to be one of the most difficult and time consuming things ever.
I have a new found appreciation of those who can do it and do it well.
I envy you.
That is all.
Go back to what you were doing.

Don't you just hate it. You're working on a picture or a video game and everything is going great, when suddenly you decide to look at the clock and realize that it's already midnight. Turns out you have work in the morning, and you didn't get half the crap done you wanted to do. Sigh, I need more hours in a day. Or get paid more to work less. As if that's a thing.

On another note, what do you guys think is the best time to post a picture on deviantart? Morning, midday, afternoon? Does it even matter? What time do you normally get on to look at your daily dosage of inspirational masterpieces? Just curious.

In other news, I'm going to bed. Goodnight. lol

And for those of you who clicked on this expecting something Doctor Who related, I said it in the title. "No, not Doctor Who".

I finally figured out why girls will stay with guys that treat them like crap, and vise versa if it applies. You see it's not just that they're blind to the situation, well maybe it's a little of that, but it's mostly about insults. You see when you point it out to someone that their partner is bad for them they immediately will tell you that you're wrong, or that you haven't seen it from their perspective, or even tell you you don't all the qualities that they have, just one excuse or another. True or not, what it really is that by insulting their partner, they feel as if you are insulting them and thus they have to stand up for said partner. So the more this happens, the more they feel they should stay, "because things will get better."
For example, I compliment a person on their shirt. "Oh, that's an awesome shirt you have!", "Oh why thank you." You see I'm not really complimenting the person, I'm complimenting the shirt. They didn't make it or design it, but they still take the compliment. Really, what you are complimenting is their taste in fashion. Same thing if I say I don't like their shirt. I'm not insulting the person but in a way it feels like I am because it was their choice to buy the shirt and wear it. Same thing with people. If insult a girls boyfriend who is mistreating her, and go through the trouble to point out all the reasons why she should leave, then she will stand up for him. Not because I'm wrong, but because subconsciously I'm insulting her. Because she was the one who chose him. That's why she wont leave. Because, in a round about way, I insulted her, and now she believes that she has to prove me, and the rest of the world, wrong by staying with him.
I'm sure part of it is from love. Maybe they were happy at first, and memories of that keep her wanting to keep trying. But people are complicated creatures and what's logical doesn't always coincided with our hidden emotions. I'm sure there are other reasons why a person might convince themselves to stay, but I really think that this is one of the bigger hidden reasons why. Or maybe it's just something we never consider.
My wacom tablet is broken. The port has come loose and my computer wont read it. So, I'll still be posting pictures but it'll take longer until I can get it fixed or buy a new one. I guess I could make my comics the old fashioned way with paper and colored pencils but, I don't think they look as good. I'm going to try and fix my tablet before I resort to that. I've been too spoiled lol.

I've also started working on a long project as the lead concept artist for a video game. This also means I'll have less time for my regular stuff but I'll do my best to keep my comics and pony art coming. Basically it will be my job to design the characters and what everything looks like for the video game. The title of the game is Tree of Life. It'll be using a new technology called LEAP motion www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYgsAM… It's going to be awesome. I'll make another post soon explaining it all later when I have all the details sorted out.

Lastly, anybody want a kitten? Please. They're driving me crazy. lol
I still plan on posting more comic strips and whatever other art work I randomly decide I need to finish but it would be nice to know what you guys would like to see me do next.
I'm working on a comic strip right now (it's a long one, and I mean reeeeally long) so obviously that'll be my next post, but after that I'm open to suggestions.
So either
More comics
More ponies (Princess Celestia, Princess Cadence and Shinning, Cutie Mark Crusaders)
More Tee's
More fan art
or something else.

Of course if you'd rather I just surprise you that is also an option. lol
Funny story.
My cat is very picky about her litter box and if its too dirty she wont use it, and will instead pee in my clothes or on my bed. So I have to really keep up with it and make sure it's clean for her. This past week however I was dirt broke and couldn't afford to buy new litter. Long story short, her litter box was getting more and more filthy and I could tell she wasn't using it anymore, meaning she had started peeing in other places that she wasn't supposed too. However, I couldn't find where it was she was going. Normally I find it pretty quickly and spray her with the squirt bottle to tell her no. But this time it was just nowhere. Finally, my roommate walked by and found her in the bathroom. She had been peeing in the bathtub. The very next best thing to using the toilet. I love my cat. lol

On another note, I finally got money and bought new litter. Happy ending. XD
My cat just had kittens in my clean underwear.
I get home from work and there they are. lol There's four of them and they each have a little calico.
What do you think? Should I post pictures of these tiny newborns?

Just a thought really. The most I've done before is draw pictures for my friends and coworkers for a bit of extra cash, but I've never done it before on deviant art and am a bit nervous about how it would go over. Perhaps I could get some friendly advice on the matter? If I were to do commissions what would be a fair price to charge? You could even tell me honestly if you think I'm good enough, but be nice about it please. If you would like for me to do a commission for you please let me know, if I get enough people to support me on this I'll go through with it. I'm willing to be flexible even with my own drawing style and by that I mean, for example, if you want me to draw a ponified version of yourself I could do it in my own drawing style or in the style they use for the show. I'm probably not popular enough to do this, but I thought I might give it a try anyway. Anyway, thank you. <3
Yep. I'm finally, after all these years, after waiting and transferring schools and finishing my internship... I'm finally taking my first animation class! XD I'm so excited for it! First class I learned how to animate a bouncing ball. Well in all fairness I kinda already knew how to do that much. But It was fun working with an actual program designed for it. I've wanted to get into animation for a long time now, but I always lacked the confidence to actually do it. Which is why its taken me so long to actually start. Well anyway I can't wait to begin learning how to do more! XD So in the future there might be some short animations of my minimum wage comic strip and other story idea's I've had for awhile. I'm probably getting ahead of myself though, lol.
Blarg. So I got like ten projects going at once, a couple of them comics a couple of them art, and i would love to finish all of them but I seem to have ADD when it comes to finishing things. I know I'll eventually get them done but I have so much I want to do I start several at once get bored and then move on before finishing any of them. I really need to work on that.... Anyway, you can expect some updates soon, but recently I've had to put these "slow in the making" artworks on the side while I practice for a job I really want to apply for. If all goes well I'll get it, but that's only if i practice. I might post some of the stuff I was practicing with but I don't really like posting unfinished work, even if its just sketches. I've done that before and decided that its not the best route to take. At least not for me lol
You know what really sucks about having an art style that's based off anime? Its really difficult to draw old/older men and make them look good. I cant find any references either. At least not any good ones. I want to draw a good looking man in his late forties and all i can find are old men with wrinkles that sag to the floor or men that claim to be older but still look like they could be in their late twenties or if i do find one that looks the correct age, he's ugly. I'm trying to look up real life references but I still need practice in that aspect. I guess I'm just complaining but it's really annoying. Hiromu Arakawa is really good at drawing older men, but her style is so definitive that its difficult to take from it without it looking just like her style instead of my own. So as far as I can tell, anime characters are hot until they hit forty then you better be in love with them for their personality. I guess I could draw the character how I want and then just claim he's a certain age, but that would be kind of cheap and cliche' wouldn't it?
I have several comics lined up just waiting to be colored, and I have a finished painting as well, the problem is that in the midst of me moving to California i seemed to have lost some essentials to my scanner. Meaning I wont be able to post anything until a. i find lost essentials. b. i buy new essentials. c. i find someone with a scanner or d. i buy a whole new freaking scanner. until then unfortunately, uploading will have to be put on hold. Sorry about this because I know its been awhile since i posted last anyway, but packing up my stuff and driving across the country took a quite a bit of time in itself.
I have decided that I need to draw more fanart. It doesn't even have to be good, as long as its fanart people will fav. me and my deviantart popularity will skyrocket... I shall start with pokemon. Ok, not really, but that does seem to be a trend, no?

You can ignore this journal. :/
