I just realized I've only got a day of subscription left, so it seems as good a time as any to make the account switch I wanted to. You can now find me under the name Pixiedrops. I'll be popping back here to re-update this for anyone who might miss it.

Kazzi made a new CSS. With a, dare I say it, pretty nice first attempt at a lineless Bellatrix. That was NOT easy, she took me ages. The multiple boxes did my head in as far as coding goes, I'm trying to figure out what I can put in some more of them to make it worthwhile. At least it'll look nice with the spiffy new userpages now. :D I've decided I'm moving accounts once this subscription runs out so I don't waste it, and the nice new layout will be used over there too. :aww:
Well I've had my audition for the Bachelor of Jazz next year... I'm just waiting for my letter telling me if I'm in or not. Still waiting on
Well I passed everything, I think. :XD: I'm on holidays now, or technically - still got my audition, which is on the 4th of December. I'm not toooooo worried, just gotta practice lots to make sure I do everything well, and hope it's good enough to get into the bachelor next year.
I'm working heaps at the moment, I need to save enough for a good electric piano, a PA system and -hopefully- a shiny new TV for when I get my new room before uni starts next year. (I don't really need the TV, that's why it's last on the list...)
I'm considering changing accounts again too... I do that a lot, don't I? It's strange, I tend to evolve through accounts
So much has been happening in my life over the past few months, it's been hectic. I'm sorry if I seem to be neglecting anyone here, I just haven't had the time to get on and comment as much as I'd like.
Certificate IV in jazz is all but over, I have one exam to go before I get my little slip of paper that says I made it. ;P I actually finished this year! Unlike last year. And I've found my calling in life I'd say. Jazz is amazingly complex and difficult but oh so satisfying. I've still got to audition for the bachelor next year, that's in December, and hopefully I'll have three more years at WAAPA doing what I've found I absolutely love.
tobyf (https://www.deviantart.com/tobyf) bought me a three month subscription. :aww: So no more ads! I can wait a for a while before I get myself another year.
I went to pick up an awesome vocal amp on Thursday night. :D I'd gone into Kosmic Sound (our major music gear reseller in Perth) a week ago to look at a few and try them out, and the salesman there suggested this new one that they'd only just ordered and were waiting for stock for, so I put my name down for one. It actually has an iPod dock in it. :XD: It's medium sized and heavy as hell (it comes up to my knee) but it's got wheels and a pull-out handle like a little suitcase as well as handles on the side, and is
Ads, agh! Everywhere! o_O I guess my subscription just ran out, man, I can't believe how many banners and crap there are everywhere. Yikes. I haven't looked at DeviantART without a subscription for wow... More then two years now.
I guess I'll get a new one in a few weeks, I need to spend money getting my car looked at first. It won't drink petrol at the moment. Lol, I have an anorexic car. :XD:
Blegh... I hate ads
Wow, it's been a long time since I updated. :XD: Seriously, I need to start using this journal more.
Uni has really started revving up now, I'm having a ball of a time but I don't really have time for much else at the moment. ;P Concert practice (where my ensemble performs for the rest of the jazz/contemporary course) is getting closer now and we're all working our bums off in my ensemble with extra rehearsals that me and Nicola, the other vocalist in my ensemble have been booking, so we jam four times a week now. o_o The guys are awesome, they show up to all our extra rehearsals, I think it's really going to show off when we perform! They'v
I've been running the new V6 on beta for a while now, and really enjoying it. It's so sleek and awesome. :XD: I love being able to make channels, and customize my links, and the new browsing format. (The old one never worked. >_>) Just got the new message center today and it's awesome too. ;P
How's everyone finding it? It took me a while to get used to in beta. :aww:
I'm helping out the lady who runs Perth Rat Rescue and Rehab, who's been given TEN infant rats to care for. (Apparently the original owners cat got the mother rat.) They're sooooooo cute, like little furry jellybeans with tails. I'm going in at about 3:00 in the afternoon on the days I'm free to help with feeding time. (Which takes like, two hours... xD) This woman is incredible, she has to get up at all hours of the night to feed these critters, and she's also got her own rats AND four kids. ^^;
I start my new job on Thursday! :boogie: I'm going to be working at Dick Smiths, an electronics store. No more smelly fetta cheese and freezing col
Fizz is okay, we got him back from the vets with a little blue bandage on his foot. :XD: Everyone there loved him, they kept saying he was so well behaved and sweet and cuddly, yet the moment he got home he got stuck into chewing the bandage off. ^^; I put some medicine that he hates on it to make him stop, but we took it off later that night anyway so he could be put back with the rest of the boys. He's his old self now. :D
My poor little rat Fizz managed to rip one of his toenails off. o.O My mum came rushing him into my room with him after she saw there was blood like, all over the cage. He's at the vets now, they put some cream on his foot and bandaged it up, and they're going to watch him for a while to make sure it doesn't start again. He lost heaps of blood, the towel my mum was holding him in during the trip has it everywhere, I'm glad I didn't get caught for speeding so badly to the vets. ^^; They told us he should be fine though, and I can pick him up in about an hour.
This is the second time he's done something like this, the first time he got a gash
I've been going on a bit of a self-recording spree with Garage Band and a few iTunes karaoke tracks. :XD: I've put them here if anyone wants to listen. http://kazzi.dmusic.com/ Crappy quality, I really need to get a soundboard that I can plug my real mic into, rather then the $15 plug-into-laptop mic I used for these. But they serve their purpose. It's good to record yourself so you can pick out all the strange things to do when you sing.
