Appearance: Dianna has brown skin and striking sapphire eyes with a petite, slender figure. Her hair is raven and falls in curls, just passing her shoulders. She tends to wear simple, conservational clothing the color of dark blue with hints of white. Due to past events, Dianna tends to hide her slightly pointed ears (a sign of her Fae heritage) underneath her hair or under a hood so she could fit into human society better without the fear of prejudice.
Personality: Dianna is levelheaded and down-to-earth the majority of the time; she possesses a highly perceptive and quick-witted mind. She thinks well on her feet and her street smarts serve her well when it comes to dealing with some of the less agreeable townsfolk. Quite strong-willed and independent since she has to fend for herself for many years. A huge part of her time, she's experimenting and studying to become a stronger and more apt herbalist in order to make up for not able to complete her studies at university. Her intelligence comes with a healthy dose of curiosity as well; giving her something new to learn is one of the quickest ways to raise her assessment of you, and likewise she's a good place to start if you're looking for some miscellaneous trivia or the answer to a logical quandary. She is polite and friendly though cautious and distant towards strangers. Gentle and nurturing, yet fierce and tenacious when using her powers to protect those she loves and cares for.
She was never much one for sugarcoating or dishonesty, either; if you're her friend, that means she can be trusted to give you solid, no-nonsense advice. If you're on her bad side, though (or worse, if you were disrespectful to one of her friends), it means you will be shown no mercy by her sharp tongue. Dianna doesn’t hesitate to go in conflict if it’s absolutely necessary. She will get very waspish very quickly, showing off a fiery temper. She doesn't have a lot of patience for obtuseness, boorishness, or stupidity, particularly when she suspects said behavior is deliberate. It doesn't matter if the offense is directed towards her or not; she'll tell you off the same either way. She doesn’t take people abusing their powers to torment or hurt other and wouldn’t stop to stick up for others or speak her mind up even it could get her into trouble.
Under all this capability and sharpness, though, are more doubts and insecurities than Dianna would ever acknowledge. When it comes to her own problems and uncertainties, she shoves them deep down, locks them up, and throws away the key.
Special skills: She has a vast, strong knowledge of most plants. Not only in recipes (for eating) but also healing remedies, as well as magical properties of those plants. She can also read signs in certain plants (i.e. tracking). She is also a fairly skilled hiker, and climber. Dianna is also quite powerful in her magic and healing skills due to her Fae blood.
Weaknesses: She is half- human so Dianna could still be harmed physically. She has little to no skill with a blade or in combat physically, but she is handy enough with a dagger. Not completely immune to drugging or poisoning. Her healing on her own body is slower than most Fae who are able to heal themselves in no time. If used too much of her magic, she gets tired and weary easily.
History: Born to a human knight and a Fae woman, Dianna was seen with judgmental eyes from an early age. As a child she is shy and unsure of herself, much because of the prejudice she has suffered from being half-Fae. But she is greatly loved by her parents who saw her as a gift of their strong, unshakable union as many didn’t approve of their marriage due to difference in races. Dianna had little to no memories of her Fae mother Selene who passed away when she was 3 due to an illness, spiraling her father, Rowland into deep sorrow and heartache. The death of her mother also drove Rowland to go to war and battle more, leaving Dianna alone most of her childhood and adolescence. She was left in the care of her neighbor, a woman named Alma Evergreen who once worked in the army as a healer and is a friend of Rowland’s late wife. It was through Alma that Dianna cultivated her love for Herbology and plants. She would help Alma gather herbs before helping her with potions when she got old enough. By the time she reached 12, her knowledge of plants is quite impressive and she could independently brew and concoct potions on her own. She was also filling up a notebook of her own recipes and notes. Despite her father not being home most of the time due to his duties, Dianna understood and wrote letters to him with Rowland replying back whenever he could. When signs of magic manifested in her, Dianna immediately knew she wanted to go to university where she could graduate as a full healer like she always wanted. Her childhood wish was granted when she was 16 years of age. Rowland was reluctant and worried to send his daughter especially far from home but nether less gave Dianna his blessing to attend to Archemage, the university of her choice. But tragedy struck when she was in her third year of studies. Her father Rowland had fallen in battle, making Dianna an orphan..Her studies were abruptly halted and she ended up dropping from university, devastating her greatly. Having nowhere else to go, Dianna ended up staying at the Celestum of the Moon, a sanctuary for Fae. It became home for her for 6 years before venturing out to a new village to start afresh..
