Petapixel recently posted an article that highlighted the financial dangers of undertaking Urban Exploration - Fines! An Urbex Photographer recently had a run in with authorities which meant they were threatened with a 15k fine and jail time. The Urban Explorer who goes by the online pseudonym The Other Side luckily didn't have to endure either prospective punishment - but if they get caught again in the next three years, in France, it's definitely an option. So there's a lesson to be learned - when you're out and about Urban Exploring...don't do it in France ;) Check out the article here.

Urban Exploration is the exploration of man-made structures. Usually these are abandoned ruins, or components that used to be part of everyday life but are no longer seen on a regular basis by the human eye. This series of articles aims to highlight exactly what Urban Exploration is, how it's achieved and the some of the best Urbex Photographers here on deviantART. Based on the experiences of some friends who partake in Urb Ex, sometimes doing a bit of research on the building's history is a good idea.
Over in my island, some "Explorers" have gotten sick in buildings that had been closed due to Asbestos.
