"Make your lives extraordinary”
― John Keating
Lilly McElroy throws herself at men in the name of Photography. That is quite literally, what she does. And when I stumbled across the article this week I was tickled to read more into her project and the profoundness behind it all. Lilly initially started out on Craigslist, trying to find men to throw herself at but unfortunately she didn't get much response. In the end she went public, approaching men in pubs and clubs to try and recreate that social situation where so many throw themselves at strangers with such ease (and often with not much grace).
Check out her full gallery of works Here.

Lilly pursues a range of socially inept behaviours. She spent some time in 2009 Lying down in public spaces to document the public reaction to unexpected behavior.
The question is, how far would you go for your photography? What would you do for your art? Recently there has been news about the woman who allowed herself to be treated like an animal (*warning disturbing images) in protest against animal testing. The protest was very real, and very public - an art form too. What have or would you do for Art?

Photography Books
I recently started leafing through Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson. It retails at around £10. Whilst exposure is one of the most boring things on earth for me to think about, the book actually made it a pleasant lecture and I finished reading a couple of paragraphs actually knowing stuffs. It was quite profound. So if you're in the market for an educational but FUN photography book, check it out!
Weekly Features to keep an eye on!
There's so much going on around the community especially for Volunteers that sometimes the awesome news can be missed out. I hope to share any weekly or monthly features that are ongoing here so that you can browse them at your leisure. If you know of something that needs to be listed let me know!
