Controversy has recently been sparked by a notice pinned to the door at one of Prince's surprise shows in New York City. The notice forbids Photography, Videography and cell phones in general. The reason given is to ensure that attendees achieve the maximum experience that the performance has to offer...however is that really the reason?

More and more photos of iconic people are making their way online these days, and they are no longer led by the top paparazzi. Everyday people are starting to be able to make a little money from captures that press photographers and other professionals have missed out on. Is that why organizers are trying to put a stop to the fun?

I admit, it's incredibly annoying to have continuous bursts of flash going off whilst you're trying to enjoy something that you paid a lot of money to attend. But how far can people go to enforce the rule?

What are your thoughts on the rules that are starting to be enforced by bands, solo artists and other performers across the world? Is this announcement a surprise to you? Or, like me, have you always read the fine print when attending a concert or performance and know that they pretty much banned photography all along?

Does sticking to the rules mean that you'll see hundreds of photos after the show, online, but will kick yourself for not having your own? When do you stop clicking the button on your camera?

I remember Beyonce telling people off, being too busy filming and not enjoying the show.. and people got embarrassed and put the their mobile phones away.
