As the year begins to draw to a close,  I'm keen to spark the inspiration and creativity that I sparked last year when the 'Letters To Me' contest was launched for a second time. Therefore I'm delighted to announce that for yet another year Letters-To-Myself is launching again. Please read the following rules and regs carefully.

A Letter To My Younger Self

Dear Katy: Younger SelfDear Katy,

I'm looking back at you, dwelling there in our past. I'm looking from a place that it's taken a long time to reach, a place that at one point, you never thought you'd get to. Like right now. You there, in the past, I know exactly what you are thinking. I can see you frowning back at me, one eyebrow tilted slightly in indignation.  How dare this stranger approach me in such a stark manner.

You wrote so often to me, in your poems and your thoughts, so it's only fair that I return the gesture now. As they say...better late than never. And maybe I'm not too late...

I'd like to tell you so many things to save you heartache. 
The idea is that you write a letter to your younger self - thinking about what you would say, what you wouldn't say. But as always with these contests, we're not just looking at the theme. There are prizes for creativity, inspiration, community choice and humour. I did mine a few years ago, and I have done a revisit since, and it does work. So if you entered before this contest and want to write again - please do. Just make sure your entries are fresh and new.

Entries must be NEW - I've saved all versions entered into the old contest so if you've entered previously I will know .
Letters must be YOUR own
Please don't share intimate personal details - keep your letters at a level that you are comfortable with.
Please write in the comments are that you are submitting it for this contest. You don't have to link it but it would be nice. This is so we know you read the rules.
Your entries will be submitted to a group folder so accepance won't be immediate. We will give reasons for declining if we feel your entry is not suitable/breaks rules.

It is adviseable that you join Letters-To-Myself to get our updates and challenges especially regarding the contest!
