Hello all, long time no update!
I have started my convention year off at Katsucon 19. This was my first year ever going and I have to say, I had a marvelous time!
I have to first give a shout out to my ladies Adrienne, Sarah, and Nicole, these girls made my con the wonderful experience that it was and without them, I would probably not have had much fun at all.
Katsucon featured the first costume I have ever made entirely on my own! Sarah, patterned everything for us and she continuously guided me, with much patience and kindness in the ways of sewing. Sarah, Adrienne, and I did a version of Magic Knight Rayearth costumes, their adorable
End of the Convention Year, Forward onto Katsucon!
I have now ended my convention year with NC Comiccon. While I wasn't able to spend much time at the con, I did in fact get to participate in the costume contest judging! It was a wonderful experience, made even more enjoyable by being able to judge with my awesome friends!
This was my first year of con going and I have to start I really picked up speed and am looking forward to next year! I started off with home-con, Animemazement, headed to Dragoncon, Escapist Expo, AUSA, and then NC Comiccon! My next years con list is looking even more full!
I will probably be attending Illogiccon, cause it's local and I know a lot of the people running
It's been a long while since I've done one of these. Since my last journal entry I've been taken under the wing of the masterful seamstress Lake-Fairy Creations, my good friend Sarah. She has been teaching me the ways of the needle and it's been such a blast learning from her! I can't wait til I'm half as good at creating costumes as she is!
Halloween is just around the corner and I've spent the past few days gearing up for it! I'll be rocking my new Daphne Costume, with my dear friend Sarah as Velma. We'll also be bringing these costumes to AUSA! Jinkies!
I can't believe that AUSA is only TWO weeks away! It doesn't seem like nearly enough
