Lars jumped slightly as the sound of a lightbulb bursting echoed from right outside his office, accompanying the horrible whirring down noise from the power going out. This has only happened to him once before, in his first week, the second night; it was due to him panicking and trying to keep tabs constantly on Amethyst and Pearl. The last time it happened, he heard some kind of melody and Steven was right outside his door. He was waiting. For what, exactly, Lars had no idea, but all of a sudden 6 AM hit and like clockwork, the animatronic stopped, turned, and left to go back to the stage. That night the guard could have sworn he saw the robot’s face change drastically at that point, and was sure he wasn’t dreaming it. When he went to his boss to discuss it, the subject was brushed off entirely as ‘just Lars’ imagination.’ What a joke.
