Sometimes I feel like that pocket watch
You keep so delicately attached to your chain
So much more mechanical in your affections
Then the fall through an hour glass of a single sand grain
You only ever take me out
When you’re looking for “The Time”

So I’ll continue to smile while you use me pretending it suits me fine
