Define organic. In a way, everything is organic because it will eventually return into the cycle and be processed into something new, but then again, it's a process so slow it's hardly imaginable, and there are no living being that use a lot of such matter in them, save for a few extreme lifeforms.

Metal is considered non-organic because organic is defined as something that comes from a living organism. Plants = Organic, Animal = Organic, mineral = non-organic.
