Don't care because it doesn't affect my inbox, but I will impotently rage if they screw up the nice, straight, clean lines I see when I'm going through deviations from people I've watched. If I have to move my mouse every time I click an (x) to click the next (x), I'll... well, I'll find another way to do it with a minimum of effort, but I won't be happy about it.
I might even get upset enough to glare at my monitor.
Seriously, though, that would annoy me. My inbox regularly builds up, as I'm sure a lot of people's boxes do, and it's so easy to glance at a row of pictures, see that there are none I want to fullview and keep clicking that little (x) without moving the mouse.
I would prefer if they had done this to the deviantWATCH alert stacks and deviation Thumbnails as well. I depend on the thumbnail to decide if a deviation gets my time of day and it's hard seeing eye catchers when you have 24 equally sized, hardly legible thumbnails everywhere.
Well, with a premium membership you can click on a stack and view a much larger view of the deviations (larger even then the new thumbs) with the artists comments next to them, without leaving the message center. Makes browsing messages much easier, in my opinion.
Not sure why you'd suddenly have a third column though, because that doesn't sound like a premium feature to me, the number of columns should be dictated by your monitor size.
I have a HD laptop, but the screen is broke so I have a old flat screen plugged into it. It only gives me 2 columns of deviations. Now when I plug my TV up to the pc, I get about 4 columns. and I checked to see if my zoom was messed up by resetting and it did nothing so it was something that occurred when they gave us those PMS.
Still, 24 deviations a page takes a lot of time to sword when you have lots of deviations/alerts to view. So no matter what I hope they give us a way to view more and shift through our messages even faster.
I had 4k messages last week and it took forever to go through.
Have you tried clicking on the first deviation and then using the "remove from messages" button to move on to the next? I started doing that recently and it helped me get through my backlog much quicker!
