Patternnnnnnnnnssssssss.

This piece was another fun experiment I did recently. It features my character Shae.

When I saw this, the first thing I thought of was Mucha. This reminds me a lot of the iconic traits of his style. The figure generally has great emphasis in the artwork. Most parts of the image are outlined organically, with minimal formal shading (especially in the more well known pieces). What sets this apart from Mucha are the patterns themselves. Sure, some of Mucha's stuff has patterns too. However, they don't have the same "overall" feel. This aspect resonates more with fabric patterns. With the figure and the patterns combined, they create a more fragmented piece of art. Sections feel separate from each other. It's an interesting type of work.
