The Crooked Blade Ch-3

           Klyde quickly, but stealthy so that he wouldn't be spotted by Kork or Kat, out of the Nursery and hid behind the side of the building. He sat down and stared down at the floor benethe him, a moment later Mongoose peered around the corner and looked down at the shocked 'hoodian. "Klyde?" she asked softly unsure if he wanted someone to talk to. Mongoose didn't exactly know what he meant by the whole 'life-seed Klogg was going to use' thing but she didn't like knowing that something was bothering one of her friends.

           "I can't belive it... that life-seed must've been the one Hoborg was going to create next... which was the same life-seed Klogg was going to use..." Klyde thought aloud not paying much mind that Mongoose sat down next to him. "I-I'm not good at these comforting thing-," her tail twitched "... wait a sec. If you said Klogg was going to use that life-seed... and he did that stuff to it you mentioned before... does that mean?" she said trying to fit the pieces in.

          "That life-seed was tainted. And by the looks of it he has the characteristics of Klogg... but he doesn't seem... evil." Klyde stated staring blankly at the ground. The 'hoodians from inside the Nursery began to file out, and go back to what they were doing before (which is most likely back to goofing off). "Every villian is lemons...," a voice cackled causing Klyde to come out of his thoughts "SAY~ Mr. Waka waka-pants I thought ya said you weren't coming!" Kat said poking his head. "Baaa...." Cornflakes sounded. "W-well....," Klyde was about to give an exscuse when he saw Kork heading twoards the Purple Swirly cave "e-exscuse me!" he said walking to catch up with her. "Huh?.... OoOoh~ WIN HER HEART!" Kat cheered. Kork froze in her tracks knowing that the statement was aimed at her and Klyde.

           "Hurry get her! She stopped! Now do some tango ski-" one of Kork's rather heavy lab boots flew past Klyde and slammed into Kat's face, knocking her over backwards onto Mongoose. "You... be quiet...," Kork growled re-claiming her boot and then shot a glance over to Klyde but then took on a normal expression "oh... hello there..." she said. At first Klyde thought she was talking to him "H-huh?" he said surprised "Maybe she's... forgiven me?" he thought to himself, but suddenly noticed the shadow looming over him. He spun around quickly to see the 'hoodian that he was just about to talk to Kork about, it was of course Klayton.

          "You're Klayton right?" Kork walked twoards the new 'hoodian whom was leaning on his crooked blade like a walking stick "I'm Kork... if you're ever hurt or sick I'm the one you come too..." she informed holding out her gloved hand for a formal and shake. Klayton stared at her hand for a while and then shook it firmly with the hand that had his claws. "OH! But she's not important~" Kat said leaping ontop of Kork's back causing her to hunch over, this time Kat held out her hand "I'm Kat~ And this is Cornflake-"

           "GET offa me!" Kork growled pushing off Kat from her back. Kat quickly stood up, put a shoulder around Klayton's neck and pointed at Klyde "That's Mr. Waka waka-pants... he builds things cause he's cool like that... and that's Mongoose~ She's my besssttt friend-muffin!" she said pointing at Mongoose whom was dusting herself off. Mongoose's tail twitched as her name was called "H-huh? Oh it's a pleasure to meet you!" she said formally bowing her head. Klayton eyed Mongoose curiously "You have a tail?" were his first words. Mongoose looked up and held her tail "Oh... yes I've had it since I was created..." Mongoose felt an odd feeling as Klayton stared at her and her voice trailed off.

          "WELP! We've gots buisness to attend to~ C'mon Klayton-pants we'll show ya 'round!" Kat said happily taking Klayton by the hand and dragging him off to the direction of the Explosive Shack, Mongoose tagging along which left Kork and Klyde alone. There was an awkward silence between the two of them when finally, Klyde was about to speak but Kork was quicker.

           "Klyde there is something I need to discuss to you... so c'mon..." she said walking back twoards the direction of her lab. Klyde blinked "W-what is it...?" Klyde asked worried if it were about him. "I think you  know... its about...," Klyde braced himself for the worse "... Klayton..." Kork said troubled.
