The Crooked Blade Ch-10

            "You said you were testing out your buttons to so if there was anything that could help with that Weasel situation right?" Kork asked pointing to an empty counter space for Mongoose to sit on. Mongoose grunted as she pried herself free of Kat's vice like grip and hopped ontop of the surface "U-Um... yes..." Kat began to pout for that she wasn't finished with her hugging but then out of the corner of her eye noticed the embaressed Klyde still going over the recent events. She poked him in the shoulder "Say Mr. Waka Waka-pants, ya stills thinking 'bouts yer luff-muffin?" she whispred deviously with a grin on her face growing.

            Klyde's eye twitched and a flinch soon followed "Sh-shut up Kat!" he whispred back sharply trying to hide his blush. "OoOh~ You is blushing~ Blush-er!" Kat said wiggiling her fingers and giggled. Kork's glove glided across the back of Kat's head "Hey, that wasn't very nice..." Kat pouted rubbing her head. "You if two are done chatting..." Kork growled narrowing her eyes at the two (for that she had been explaning the situation during their 'conversation'). Klyde slumped his shoulders and rubbed the back of his head "S-Sorry K-K-Kork..." Klyde apologized feeling more embarresed for some reason.

         Kork rolled her eyes and sighed and held down the first button with Mongoose watching her finger with a very high concentration. Finally after what seemed like twenty mintues Mongoose's eye twitched and she sat up straight "H-Hey... you told me not to tell Kork that you broke one of her vials..." she informed looking over at Kat. Kork blinked and looked over her shoulder to Kat "You did what...?" she hissed.

        Kat was stunned "M-Mongoose I told you to forget that I told you that!" she informed ducking behind Klyde. "I-I'm sorry... it just came back to me..." she informed her friend. Kork gave a thumbs up "Bingo," she said "that button is most likely some form of... 'remembering things that you've forgotten' butto-"

       "OoOoh~ Ya means like a mem-o-ree chips? Cause that like... happened some-teen days ago~ And I can't even remember five munites ago~" Kat said stated in awe of Mongoose's new function. "Yeah I guess you can say that..." Kork shot a glance at Kat which read 'I'm going to introduce your face to my good friend Mr. Club'. "Well! That's pretty cool-beans! Can Mongoose come out and play with mee~?" Kat said pouncing twoards Mongoose, though Kork's club gave her a nice thawck to the head. "Yes, now you can go..." she informed. Kat was rubbing the back of her head when she took her friend by the hand and ran out of the lab.

       Klyde was about to follow when suddenly Kork's hand grabbed him by the shoulder and turned him around. "H-Huh?" was his surprised reaction. "We... need to talk..." she mumbled looking him in the eyes. Klyde looked down "L-Listen... I'm sorry... I... I really am...." Klyde apologized again. Kork sighed and crossed her arms "And what are you apologizing for?" she asked. Klyde pushed his two fingers together "W-Well... umm... I shouldn't have gotten myself involved with K-Klayton..." he informed.

       "Yes, that was mighty stupid of you Klyde but that's not really the case... Klyde you know I can't... and I've told you... how many times?" she asked. Klyde tried to avoid Kork's gaze and looked away "Great, this isn't really about Klayton, she's telling me that I... that we can't.." his thoughts were interupted. "Klyde listen, I can't. I have a job to do and to stick to, and so do you... understand?"

       "B-But I have a job too! And I lo-" Klyde was suddenly greatful for the loud disturbance outside the Radio Station that drowned out his sudden feelings. Suddenly the BOBBY machine went off once, twice... three times and rushing past running to the upstairs lab was Mongoose being chased by Klayton whom was being chased by Kat. Kork sighed and headed off taking Klyde by the hand and dragging him with her "I'm never going to get any work done.." she grumbled.
