The Crooked Blade Ch-1

           "I don't get it.... why don't ya want to see this new 'hoodian? C'mon it'll be fun~!" a rather hyper being said poking another in the shoulder. "I... I just don't feel up to it Kat...," he responded rather uncomfortably "you guys can go though so don't wait for me." he stated.

           "Awww c'mon Klyde-doodles~! It'll be an adventure... even though its like just yonder and stuffs... I mean lookie," Kat said grabbing a 'hoodian by the shoulders and pulling her infront of him "you'll make Mongoose all sads!" Mongoose seemed quite disturbed at the sudden grab made by her friend and wore a look to match it but despite this Klyde gave a big sigh. "Ah... n-no its okay I won't be sad I promise," Mongoose said quickly waving her hands in a way of assuring her promise "its okay Kat he doesn't have to come..."

          Kat released Mongoose and crossed her arms and pouted. "Yeah.. but he might as well see the newbie now... you're gonna have to build him... her.... it... a house or somethings..." Kat said wiggiling her fingers. Klyde didn't respond, instead he looked away and slumped his shoulders, debating if he wanted to go or not. "Oh... by the taco... she'll be seeing the newbie too~!" Kat said with a growing grin on her face. Klyde's eye twitched and then let out another sigh. "I can't face her.... not after what just happened... and what I got her.. everyone into." Klyde mumbled glumly. Mongoose placed her tail on Klyde's shoulder.

         "But that was about weeks ago.... I'm sure she's forgotten about the whole thing..." Mongoose tried to comfort the rather sad 'hoodian. "How can she forget that? It's my fault she's behind in her work... and I..." Klyde trailed off as her re-opened old wounds, not as if they weren't already open though. Kat pounced ontop of Klyde's shoulders, who ended up being knocked over in which now Kat sat ontop of his chest. "C'mon Mr. Waka waka-pants! That's in the past and stuffs! C'mon do it fer me... fer Mongoose... fer Cornflakes!" she said holding her pet Sheepie in his face.

         "Baa..."

        Klyde blinked at the Sheepie placed inches away from his face and yet again let out another sigh. "I'm sorry Kat... I just don't feel up to it right now..." he said as Kat stood up (still on his chest). "Maybe later?" Kat asked as soon as he finished his sentence. Kat crossed her arms and stepped off of Klyde "Pfft... fine be like that... we don't need no stinkin' badgers... c'mon Mongoose let's make tracks~!... Hee I always wanted to say that~!" Kat said happily frolicing off to the Nursery. Mongoose helped Klyde to his feet "Are you sure?" she asked as she watched Klyde sit under the Mulberry bush. "I'm sure..." he responded.

          With that Mongoose turned and headed after Kat whom had run into the wall of the Explosive shack, missing the door completely, leaving Klyde deep in his thoughts. As time flew by Klyde continued to contimplate on what to do and at last sent out one last sigh. "What's the harm of a quick peek...?" he asked himself as he headed to see the new 'hoodian.
