Building Problems Ch-10

             "That idiot!" Kork yelled slamming a fist onto the door that lead way to Hoborg's throne room. "What was it something I interupted?" Kat asked stroking Cornflakes whom was still taped to the top of her head. "He's being stupid...," Kork growled slamming her fist on the door again "Klyde don't be a hero for anyone!" Kork yelled through the door. Kork gasped and clutched her chest and sank to her knees. Mongoose rushed over to her side nervously looking at Kork's pained expression. "K-kork..." Mongoose said trying to search for words.

             On the other side of the door, Klyde stood faceing the door and letting go of one of his tools that jammed the door, preventing it from opening. "I'm... sorry Kork," Klyde whispred to himself "... I can't see you get hurt on my behalf...." he sighed until he heard the sound of clapping. Klyde turned around to where the noise was coming from and found it when he looked up to Hoborg's throne. There sat a frozen king without his crown and on the arm rest of his throne sat Klogg, aplauding Klyde.

            "Bravo Klyde! Bravo!" Klogg cheered hopping down from the throne to the floor and holding up a small vial. "I'd like to thank all my followers for this wonderful prize...," he said clutching the vial "but I would like to thank my good friend Klyde... for if it wasn't for him I wouldn't be here..." Klogg grinned talking to an non-exsitent audience. "I'm no friend of yours..." Klyde informed sternly turning his hands into fists. Klogg grinned "Oh but of course you are... I mean it's thanks to you that I am now ruler of the Neverhood and that I have this new power...," Klogg walked slowly over to Klyde "and if you didn't put your feelings aside for that... whatever her face.... then you wouldn't have stolen this for me. That's a friend in my book!" Klogg informed.

           "N-no... that's not true..." Klyde said to himself. "Oh come on Klyde don't put yourself into denial..." Klogg grumbled. Another slam to the door sounded which caused Klogg and Klyde to turn around in surprise. "Boy, she dosen't give up does she? She's got a lot of bark in her!" Klogg commented walking away from Klyde. Klogg picked up Hoborg's crown which was sitting at the foot of the king's throne and pointed it at Klyde. "C'mon Klyde! What say you rule this world with me? After all....," Klogg began grinning "all you have to do is wear the adornment of a king." Klyde stared at his king's crown. Putting it on would only turn him into a power hungry tyrant. Klyde shook his head "Don't put me on the same page as you Klogg..." Klyde replied.

         Klogg frowned and looked at the crown and then at Klyde. "What a pity. And you would've made such a good side-kick. I guess I should make myself a new sidekick hmmm? And I'll add a bit of this Mulberry Brew to it!" Klogg cackled shaking Hoborg's crown until a small life seed came out. Klogg dripped the last of the brew onto it and his grin extended into a smile. Klyde's eyes widened. He could not allow Klogg to make a life, espcially an evil one. Taking the tool from the door, Klyde threw it at Klogg's hand in which the life seed flew back into the crown.

            "Yeeow!" Klogg said shaking his hand as the crown rolled away from him "I promise you'll regret that!" Klogg growled angirly walking twoards the 'hoodian. "I'll rip you to shreds and feed you to Weasels and then we'll see who is stronger!" something had then grabbed Klogg's shoulder from behind.

             "Too bad I already know who's stronger here..." Kork mumbled. Klogg turned around only to have his face meet Kork's fist, sending Klogg into the throne of Hoborg. "Strike! That's a whole in touchdown~" Kat called out hugging Cornflakes. Mongoose quickly dove past Kat and straight to the crown. About to grab it, Klogg's hand grabbed her's first. "I'm sorry... we're you trying to get that?" Klogg asked slyly staring at a frightened Mongoose. "Umm uhh.... not really?" Mongoose said flinging the crown across the room with her tail. Klogg watched angirly as he saw Kat catch it with ease. "Woo! RINGER!" Kat yelled happily.

             "Hmph...," Klogg said looking at the set up of 'hoodians whom stood in his way "well this battle was very un-climatic..." he said kind of upset that it didn't last very long. An idea suddenly flashed in his head and that same grin that haunted Klyde began to appear on his face again. Klogg dashed over to the nearest pillar and grinned. "It doesn't matter... with this new power I'll just rip the castle apart... I'll kill you all," Klogg cackled and then turned his attension to Klyde and Kork "thank you for making this wonderful power punch... and thank you Klyde for stealing it for me... now it has been nice working with you, too  bad it has to end like this!" Klogg laughed as he sank his claws into the pillar. He made an attempt at pulling it down, but it did not budge.

              "What the?" Klogg was surprised and continued to try to move the pillar but nothing happened. "What's going on here?! I thought I was just a power-machine!" Klogg asked himself baffled at his sudden loss of power. "Oh... well then it appears that Klyde was on our side all along... good job Klyde." Kork said giving a thumbs up to the confused 'hoodian. Klogg glared at the two again "What are you talking about?" demanded Klogg angirly. "Oh he didn't tell you? I do so belive that I told Klyde I was still working on the brew so it was bound to have a few kinks in it." Kork informed.

              Klogg narrowed his eyes at Klyde. "I won't let this stop me from my goals.... I will rule the Neverhood... and I'll be sure to destroy you all first!" Klogg promised fleeing the throne room. "Heh... well that was easy!" Kat said wiggiling her fingers.
