I started this piece back in December. I put way more planning into it than usual, spending a ton of time gathering references and playing with compositions before diving into the actual painting. It saved me a million headaches. I was coming off a few really frustrating pieces that I ended up scrapping because I just ran with the first thing that popped into my head.
