Not exactly what the gallery title might first suggest, as the body I ordered is standard mahogany, but I also ordered some tamo ash veneer, described on the site as one of the most chatoyant woods in the world that the sample pics didn't do justice. Further research suggests that Japanese artisans once reserved this wood for projects meant for royalty. We'll see if it can live up to a rep like that.
