The 'borderline but acceptable' neck angle turned out a little less so in the end, and while I lavished attention to detail and fine parts on it, it's stuck with an Epiphone-grade action, 2mm at the 12th on the bass side and a little less on the treble.  Oh well.  The pickups sound alright, being a set donated by my customer.  Both are DiMarzio; the bridge is their X2N railbucker, and the neck has a PAF 36th Anniversary bridge pickup, a bit hot for the position but it beats the pants off kit stock.
