SHLP 02

Last night I gave that neck a fretjob, and this morning the original plan was to start carving some clipart into the back, but the theme for this project seems to be failures in plans and what I do about them.  My cheap inkjet all-in-one isn't printing, needs new cartridges that I can't afford.  Cleaning the nozzles with denatured alcohol wasn't enough, it had just had too long to dry, and there were also issues with the paper feeding.  While I figure out either some other way to get my tracing lines or something else to do with the back, I'm working on the front, and I've sanded it to 220 to reduce some of the worst places where the figuring grooves the surface.  I got as far as mixing some black stain before realizing it was a good idea to do the headstock at the same time, so I grabbed some scrap quilted maple and will slap it on as soon as the heat-lock glue dries.
