RBSG 12

Despite the listing title alone implying in six ways that this 'gold leaf' was genuine, when it finally got here yesterday it was pretty easily established as imitation, resulting in one of the few negative eBay feedbacks I've ever left.  If they hadn't waited twelve days to even ship it I might have gone with a neutral review, but bad customer service is its own reward.  I'm not going to carve and gild every single wrinkle, about half will get this treatment in several little batches.  At the time of this writing I've already applied the faux-gold and peeled the tape (the next batch will involve a little more waiting; since this colored aluminum is stronger than real gold it pulled away from the adhesive in small spots and had to be fixed), then brushed on a little Mod Podge to seal the leaf.  Once that dries I'll move on to the next batch of 'scars.'
