I'll be getting more preliminary work than expected in today, since FedEx was at least four hours earlier than usual. First step will be grain-raising and sanding on the mahogany, the body three pieces but well matched so the joins are subtle. The neck angle is satisfactory in this test-fit, but the wiring holes are disappointing, and I'll need to remember to drill a couple more before a glued-in neck blocks access. That grain is going to be gorgeous, particularly once I apply and sand back a brown popping step.
