See those ripples at the bottom of the lamp's reflected glare? Those are the wrinkles I thought I'd taken care of, still a little visible at fifteen coats, my original target count. I'd love to kick that up to twenty just to be sure, but the bottle's running out. I'll be applying a sixteenth regular coat tomorrow, then hoping I can fix everything I need to while wet-sanding. The final coat will be thinned with mineral spirits and brushed (rather than wiped) on with one hand while the other holds a flash light to check the glare in real time.
