I brought the camera along when it was time to take things outside for the four-coats buff-down.  Using fine steel wool releases tiny metallic fragments that can be moved by mere air, so doing it anywhere near my computer's power supply intake fan is... contraindicated.  I took the pic before the buffing, as you can't see the rough spots anyway and the buff-down leaves the surface slightly fogged until the next touch of oil.
