AcidBath 10

I took this picture with no flash, and the final coat of Tru-Oil (thinned slightly with mineral spirits) still wet on the back and sides.  Since steel wool at the ten-coat mark wasn't satisfactory at smoothing the rough spots, I let it wait 'til payday then bought some 1500-grit to wet-sand it with.  My aim was for smoothness but not absolute levelness, since I had only so much thickness to work with and I'm paranoid about sand-throughs, and the reflection of my desk lamp and window show that I did well.  Enough.  I still need to oil the front, then everything goes back on hold while the final components make their way through the postal system.
