It seems there's a bit of lag on tracking packages from China; I wasn't expecting anything today except a five-pack of neck plates and bolt sets.  I ordered veneer just around the time the body was entering the country, but it won't be here for another two days.  That neck, with an equally-figured fingerboard and abalone dot inlays, had just been straightened and masked prior to fret leveling when I stepped out and found that the body had arrived as a separate delivery.  The body's perfect for my purposes, two pieces of unspectacular mahogany so I'll feel no qualms about veneering both sides with quilted maple.  The two sides will get different treatment, but both will relate to the name.
