"I am quite literally a god," Thor smirked, "It's obvious who a good parent would be." Loki rolled his eyes but barely looked up from his tome. Thor swiftly took the baby away from Tony. He spun around and beamed. "She's such a beautiful child!" he cried merrily. Natasha looked skeptically at the others. "Thor, be careful," Natasha warned him. Thor beamed at his friend, "Have no worries, Lady Natasha. I helped take care of Loki when we were children."
Thor smiled as a maid helped him dress (Name) in proper Asgardian infant attire. "Does your father approve of (Name)?" the maid asked as she handed a well-dressed (Name) to her father. For a moment Thor's brow crinkled. "He has not truly met (Name) before. Tonight will be their first official meeting," he murmured the woman. Thor masked his worry and took his child. He waved to the maid and whistled on his way to a dining hall.
Thor bowed low at his father's throne. He clutched (Name) to his chest. "Rise," Odin said flatly. Thor stood and faced his father. "And who is this?" the king raised an eyebrow at the infant in his son's arms. "This is my adopted child. Princess (Name) of Asgard. Daughter of Thor, Granddaughter of Odin," Thor presented (Name). He held her up for Odin to get a better few. Odin looked over her for a few moments. "I suppose I can approve," his one good eye drifted to the table of food behind Thor.
Thor smiled and looked down at (Name). "I knew he'd like you, my little princess," he murmured. Thor walked to the table and sat down. He kept (Name) held tightly to his chest during the night.
"Oh, my son. I forgot to ask," Odin looked at Thor, "What species is she?" Thor looked sharply up at her father. "I have been informed that she does not have the similar qualities of other Asgardian infants," Odin smirked slightly. "Father," Thor breathed, "(Name) is from Midgard." Odin looked intently at the infant.
Thor held (Name) to his chest. "Father, you cannot take (Name) away. She has no one else," he begged. Odin's lip flickered up at his son's begging. "Thor, I've decided, that the lowly Midgardians have corrupted you. They've made you vulnerable," Odin sneered, "That was your last trip to that filthy world." Thor looked at his father, shock filling his body. "Get out of my sight," Odin growled. Thor stood up slowly. His body felt numb. The only thing keeping him grounded to the earth of Asgard was (Name) clinging to him.
Once Thor reached his rooms, he crumpled on the floor. He laid flat on his back with (Name) laying on his chest. Tears began to well up in his eyes. "Father will try to take you away," he murmured, "But I won't allow it." he stroked (Name)'s peach fuzz like hair.
Thor lay flat on his back silently saying goodbye to his friends on Midgard. For now. He would defy his father but he had (Name) to think of now. (Name) was the most precious thing to him. His princess.
