I frowned, but didn’t look up from the book I was reading. This man, Allen, made me want to turn into The Hulk. It wouldn’t be a pretty sight if I went to get (Name), but what choice did I have? So decided to go save her from Allen’s abuse. Angrily I slammed the book shut and stalked out of the room. Tony, of course, ran after me. “Where do you think you’re going?” Tony grabbed my shoulder, “We just got a call that our friend is in danger and you’ll just leave?!” I causally brushed the brunettes hand off my shoulder. “I’m going to go get (Name),” I said calmly. Tony gasped over dramatically. “W-What about Big Green,” he asked. I rolled my eyes at him. He was always worried about me turning into The Hulk. “I’m learning to control him and I’ve learned how to calm him down,” I explained. Spending those extra hours in the lab did me a great deal.
I turned from Tony and started off again. I wasn’t fond of wasting time, especially in this particular situation. “I’m coming with you,” Tony said following me. “I don’t need a babysitter, Stark,” I growled. “Look, Bruce it’s not a big deal. Everybody needs help with stuff. For example you need help staying calm, and I need help with this all this sexy,” Tony smirked. I pursed my lips. “This is something I need to do on my own,” I told him as we continued walking. “Why? Is there something you need to prove?” Tony asked. I clenched my fist and whirled around on my heels.
“I love (Name)! OKAY? I have to do this on my own, I have to prove my worth to her!” I yelled. Tony blinked at me in shock. “I did, NOT, see that coming,” Tony raised his hands in defense, taking a small step back. “Can I go now? Or do I need your permission?” I snapped, “I’ve already lost enough time,” It had be years since I had seen Tony with the expression he showed me now. “Y-yeah man,” he stammered, “You can go,” “Thank God,” I sighed and started walking away again. “But Bruce,” Tony yelled after me. I looked over my shoulder. “If you need our help, just call. Kay?” he said. I nodded my gratitude and ran out to my car.
As usual my mind was constantly running with questions. These questions where different than the normal questions. These where about (name) more or less. I took a deep breath, I tried to stay incredibly calm. How could someone beat up a girl like (Name)? She was so sweet and kind. She was an incredibly smart girl too.
She was a scientist at S.H.I.E.L.D. for the longest time, until she quit. When I asked her why she left, (Name) told me she had found a new job, a new joy. I knew she was lying. (Name) loved her work at S.H.I.E.L.D. She seemed to enjoy working with me.
Thinking about this was making me angry. I grit my teeth frustrated. I was struggling to stay calm.
I pulled up to (Name)’s house. It wasn’t fit for anyone to live in. I was surprise she wasn’t sick. I rapped on the door, my knuckles where white. I heard some shouting, then some stumbling. Finally the door knob turned. (Name) had opened the door. Her (s/c) skin was paler than its normal color.
Suddenly I grabbed her shoulders, “Are you alright (Name)? What did he do to you?” The girl winced. I took my hands off her shoulders. There where bags under eyes, which were now dull. “I’m fine,” she whispered. “No you’re not,” I said, rougher than I meant to. She took a step back. “You should probably go,” she said, starting to close the door. I stuck my foot in the door, “I’m not leaving without you,” “(NAME)! WHO’S AT THE DOOR!!?” Allen roared, from somewhere else in the house. “It’s no one, Allen,” she called back to him. “(Name),” I said seriously to her, “We’re all worried about,” “I know you are and I thank you for that,” she said, “But I don’t need your help,” “Who are you talking to-?” Allen walked in the room. He narrowed his blood red eyes. “Who the hell are you?” he asked me. I pushed past (Name). “Your worst nightmare,” I growled.
Then I felt myself slipping away. I was turning into the ‘Other Guy’. My body expanded, my skin was turning green. My shirt seems broke apart and I the last of me was gone.
My (e/c) eyes widened. Bruce had let his anger get the best of him. It had happened before but he was always in battle. He lifted Allen off the ground, whom was trembling in terror. I closed my eyes. Even if I loathed Allen, this wasn’t something I really wanted to watch. I heard so many things. Some I didn’t want to hear and some I did. It lasted whose knows how long. I peaked my eyes open and the house was destroyed piles of debris surrounded me. A sudden figure move toward me and quickly. I braced myself for the worst.
I pushed wood off of me. Allen was stuck under some wood. I stalked over to him. “Y-you! You’re going to pay for all of this,” he cried. “Right,” I said unbelieving, “I pay just after you and (name) go to court,” He looked at me with shock, than narrowed his eyes. “With all this damage that pathetic bitch is probably dead,” he grinned at me, blood staining his face.
I glared at him but climbed over a pile of debris. Standing on the top of the pile, I easily spotted (Name). She didn’t appear to be bleeding. She seemed just fine physically. I dashed over to her. “(Name),” I called to her, “Are you okay? Did I hurt you?” “No,” she said in a hushed shaky voice. I opened my arms to her. The (blonde/brunette/ginger/etc.) girl dashed into my arms, burring her face into my chest. “Where is he?” she whispered. “Allen?” I stroked her hair, trying to calm her down, “He can’t get to you now, I promise. You’re going to be okay,”
A sudden whoosh noise sounded overhead. The familiar red suit of armor flew above us. “Tony,” (Name) breathed. “Yeah, that idiots here, along with the others I think,” I picked her up bridal style. “No need to waste any more time here,” I said, carrying her over the mounds of debris. “Thanks Bruce,” she thanked wrapping her arms around my neck.I set her down at the door way and used my hand shielded the sun from my eyes. “(Name)! You’re okay! Oh my God!” Natasha cried, flinging herself at (Name). (Name) uttered an ‘oof’ as Natasha hugged her. “Good to see you too,” (Name) laughed. At that moment, when I knew (Name) was going to be okay. I knew everything else would be okay too.
