This is a photo I took a few years ago of my dear old golden retriever. She was the sweetest dog I ever met, and she loved people so much. She could always be found napping on the front porch. :meow:

Beautiful, precious oldie goldies. I loved my senior golden so much...fate was cruel to me and I had to say goodbye to him far too early.

It's amazing how much our dogs impact our lives. I still miss my dogs every day, and one of them has been gone 4 years now.

I'm so sorry about your golden. I just try to remember how lucky I was to have mine for 9 years, and to recall the fun memories. :)

Zakary was with me for 13 beautiful and short years. They truly do impact our lives in ways words cannot even express. My new golden is 2 years old now and hes quite a handful. Totally different, but marvelous in his own orange way!

Isn't it great how each dog has their own distinct personality?

Oh yes! It helps to love each as an individual and not a replacement of a lost loved one.

Exactly, and even if they start out as a replacement, they worm out of that box & create their own space in our hearts :)

ooooh now I'm waxing poetic :XD:

This is how it is with my Raz. I tried not to compare him to Zakary but it happened inadvertently. Finally when I realized they were like night and day...Raz had moved in :)

That is such a sweet picture. She reminds me of my olden golden: [link]

awww they're both so cute! ^^ Thanks for sharing. :meow: I had two goldens as well, but the younger one got hit by a car (chasing a cat; she was senseless til the end ), and this one passed away last Thanksgiving. She was 14.

Well at least that's a ripe old age. My older golden is almost 14 and he has cancer.
