Take a deep breath...and trust me...
The s8 premiere is called "Deep Breath". That is the funniest thing to me, mostly because of how it makes the words after the title sound. Inhale deeply...and words.
The trailer we got also kind of alludes to...something up with the Doctor. I'm way too deep into this show and fandom to really be worried or anything by it, but I like seeing everyone else freak out. And speculate. Or in the case of the shippers, get REALLY EXCITED. Damn the shippers are resilient (I am, obviously, one of them).

This is so beautiful I want to show my family but I fear they would judge me at the thought of me shipping a over 2,000 year old Time Lord with a late twenties woman.
Well at least that's a better response than "why do you ship that 57-year-old with that 28-year-old" which is usually what people say. XP

i dont ship the doctor and clara THAT way, but as more of a really good friends way :3
Same here. I think it's hard to move past the obvious physical age barrier (although we'd previously established with Rose and Ten that the ACTUAL centuries-old Time Lord vs. human barrier can be ignored), even without considering what Peter Capaldi has said regarding a romance between the Doctor and Clara - he initially insisted there be no "Papa-Nicole moments" on the show, and in a later interview he discussed the inherent sexism of men his age in films & TV having love interests who were much younger.
Personally I'm glad they left romance out of it. Though they aren't in love, Twelve and Clara have a great relationship which, while platonic, seems just as deep and meaningful as romantic love; I wish we would see more friendships like theirs, because that kind of connection is common among people who are really close best friends.

I can sympathize. I fell in love with Rory the second Arthur Darvill showed up for location filming for The Eleventh Hour and the rumor started going that he was Amy's long-suffering boyfriend. I shipped it hard before series 5 even aired. XD
